As part of their World Cultural Celebrations initiative, The Indianapolis Public Library will host the 2026 Guelaguetza Mosaicos Festival on Saturday, July 11th at Central Library from 12-4PM. Festivities will take place in the Atrium where attendees can engage with up to 25 vendor tables, interactive activities, and over 10 performances throughout the afternoon, all intended to highlight Hispanic culture. This event is intended to mirror the Guelaguetza Oaxaca Festival, an annual indigenous cultural celebration that takes place in Oaxaca, Mexico, showcasing traditional music, dance, and vibrant costumes from this region. The holiday traditionally features parades, artisanal crafts, regional cuisine, and a strong commitment to communal sharing.
