Dia de la Familia

August 16 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Join us for Día de la Familia, a free family festival celebrating Mexican culture, art, music, and community in the heart of Carmel. Presented by MÉCACI, the Mexican Cultural Art Center of Indiana, in partnership with the City of Carmel, this one-day celebration brings families together for an unforgettable experience at Carter Green, next to the Palladium.

Enjoy live music and entertainment, traditional Mexican crafts, authentic food including fresh tamales, a sugar skull station, soccer and games for the kids, a flags and passport station, and papel picado dancing overhead, every colorful banner hung by volunteers from our own community.

Día de la Familia is more than a festival. It’s a celebration of what matters most: family, heritage, and connection. Whether you grew up with these traditions or are experiencing them for the first time, there’s a place for you here. All ages, all backgrounds, all familias welcome.
