The Chinese Festival is co-hosted by Indianapolis Public Library, Indiana Association of Chinese Americans, and Indianapolis Chinese Performing Arts Inc.
The event will be a 2 1/2-to-3-hour stage performance in the auditorium of the Indiana Historical Society that includes Chinese American-style lion dance, traditional dance, traditional Chinese orchestra music, contemporary instrumental music of a festive theme performed by amateur and professional musicians, sopranos, choir singing, and Tai Chi exercise presentations. There will also be a series of cultural booth exhibitions presented by cultural, global, and educational organizations.
The celebration will be open to the public and offered with free admission.
