International Education Week

From November 12-18, 2018, Marian University will host our third annual International Education Week (IEW) program. As a joint initiative
created by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, International Education Week is designed to promote
international programming.

Tartini: an Italian from Piran

Our Sister City connection for this concert is Piran (current day Slovenia). A historic and stylistic link will be explored from Tartini (Piran’s favorite son) to Leopold Mozart (and thus to W. A. Mozart) and finally to Beethoven. Winds are in the spotlight for Tartini and Mozart, and then strings and piano shine in one of Beethoven’s greatest masterworks.
