Martin joined the International Center in 2011. He served the organization as Vice President, Programs and Services until he assumed the position of President and CEO in 2017. He also serves as Honorary Consul of France to Indiana.

Born and raised in Germany, Martin served 22 years in the German Air Force (GAF), ultimately achieving the rank of Lt. Colonel. His assignments and liaison functions took him to several European countries and North America.

During his military career he obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in military science (aviation and business). In addition, he attended the University of Duisburg and Essen in Germany where he earned a bachelor’s joint degree in economics, business, English and cultural studies.

After his move to Indiana and before joining The International Center, Martin formed his own business, All German Solutions LLC, to provide project and program management, as well as cross-cultural training.

Martin is also very active in the greater Indianapolis community and currently serves on boards and committees of several local organizations, such as: Indiana Germany Business Council’s Board of Directors, International School of Indiana’s Advisory Board, and Financial Center’s International Advisory Committee.
