I love the way nonprofit work can carry you through various disciplines. I get to be a part of pediatric medical research, urban housing solutions, and now international cultures and the global identity of Indiana’s people. I also love the chance to serve my community: I believe fundraising is an act of gratitude both to the people who want to do good in the world and the incredible organizations benefitting from community support.

Helping tutor and connect with refugees at a literacy center in Dayton. I don’t have much international experience, but being trusted to hear people’s stories and connect them with a new language and culture was very meaningful.
