The International Center to Honor John Lechleiter as 2015 International Citizen of the Year
(INDIANAPOLIS – April 13, 2015) . . . John C. Lechleiter, Ph.D., who serves as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Indianapolis-based global pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly and Company, has been selected by the Board of Directors of The International Center as recipient of the 2015 International Citizen of the Year Award. The award will be presented at a tribute dinner and program at the Indiana Roof Ballroom on October 6, 2015.
Honorary Co-Chairs for the event represent a corporate and civic Who’s Who of previous award recipients, former Eli Lilly and Company top executives, global corporate community peer CEOs, and top civic leaders. This year’s Honorary Co-Chairs include:

Marsha Stone, Senior Director of Enterprise Development for the Indianapolis International Airport and James T. Morris, Vice Chairman of Pacers Sports & Entertainment, will serve as Event Co-Chairs. Both event Co-Chairs are members of The International Center’s Board of Directors, and Jim Morris was honored as International Citizen of the Year Award in 2005.
The International Citizen of the Year Award was established in 1985 to honor individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the globalization of Indiana in business, culture, education, government, medicine, research, media, sports or community service.
