THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER ANNOUNCES SPEAKERS FOR 2019 LEADERSHIP ACROSS CULTURES
The International Center is pleased to announce the line-up of speakers for the 2019 Leadership Across Cultures professional development program.
Leadership Across Cultures puts participants at the conference table with leaders of some of Indiana’s global companies, organizations and institutions. The two-day course will feature insights from:
- Fiorella Gambetta-Gibson, director of diversity and inclusion at Allison Transmission,
- Michael Overdorf, vice president of corporate strategy and business transformation at Eli Lilly and Company, and
- Jim Schellinger, Secretary of Commerce, state of Indiana.
Conversation and instruction will be facilitated by Noel S. Paul, founder, president and CEO of Tiger Careers, and Dr. Yulia Tolstikov-Mast, Global Leadership Researcher and Practitioner.
The program, held on November 6 and 7 and will take place at The International Center, One Indiana Square in downtown Indianapolis. The registration fee is $649 per person. For program information, contact:

Fiorella Gambetta-Gibson is responsible for creating and implementing a Diversity and Inclusion strategy at Allison Transmission. It includes initiatives focused on the workforce, workplace and marketplace. About Michael Overdorf:
Michael Overdorf is currently Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Business Transformation at Lilly. As Lilly’s Chief Strategy Officer, he leads the development of the company’s global strategy and the implementation of key strategic initiatives. Through his Business Transformation team, Michael is also accountable for delivering financial savings through continuous improvement initiatives and for helping to develop future leaders for Lilly.
About Jim Schellinger:
Jim Schellinger is the Secretary of Commerce for the state of Indiana, serving as a member of Governor Eric Holcomb’s cabinet and leading the state’s domestic and international economic development. Secretary Schellinger previously served as president of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation under Governor Mike Pence, helping lead Indiana business growth and Hoosier job creation efforts as well as key initiatives like the Indiana Regional Cities Initiative and the state’s $1 Billion Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiative. Schellinger was appointed to the role in August 2015 after serving two years as a member of the IEDC Board of Directors.
