The International Center’s operations update as of March 16, 2020
Effective Monday, March 16, The International Center’s offices at One Indiana Square (Regions Bank Tower), 20th floor in downtown Indianapolis will be closed to visitors. All full- and part-time staff members will work remotely from home, and we will continue to be available to serve you virtually and by phone. We have taken this action in response to public health concerns surrounding the coronavirus, now considered by the World Health Organization as a global pandemic.
The health and well-being of our employees and those we serve is our top priority, so we have complete confidence we have chosen the proper path. We will closely monitor this situation as it unfolds, following guidance provided by the CDC, as well as federal, state and local government agencies. Changes to our office closure policy will be implemented only as warranted by such guidance.
“All of us have been affected to some degree by the events of the past several weeks, but our thoughts are particularly with those we serve whose families are experiencing major disruptions to their lives,” said Martin Baier, International Center president and CEO. “While we cannot, as an organization, make a major impact on improving those individuals’ lives,’ each and every one of us can do our small part by observing – at all times — the preventive and cautionary measures we have been encouraged by the CDC and others to adopt. Perhaps our combined efforts CAN produce a significant impact, bringing us closer to a return to normality.”
