THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER ANNOUNCES STAFF ADDITIONS AND PROMOTION
(INDIANAPOLIS – January 27th, 2022) – The International Center has welcomed four new members to the team and announced the promotion of another. The newest hires will serve as relocation specialists, assisting The International Center’s clients to provide individualized support to minimize the challenges involved in moving to a new country.
Leslie Grishin has been promoted to Director of Global Programs at The International Center. Grishin formerly served as the International Visitor Programs Manager for The Center, joining the team in 2019. Grishin will continue to manage the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP), an exchange program led by the U.S. Department of State that allows participants to experience the Hoosier culture shadowing their professional counterparts, both virtually and in person. Additionally, Grishin will manage the James T. Morris Global Leadership Series, Indiana’s only global leadership program and The Center’s newest professional development program. Grishin’s work ethic and devotion to promoting a deeper global perspective led her to her new role.
Daniela Katz, a new Relocation Specialist, has spent much of her career in Indianapolis working in the education field as an instructor, mentor, supervisor, coordinator, linguist, and advisor. She has over 28 years of experience working freelance as a Spanish translator and interpreter. Her diverse background and deep roots in the Indianapolis community will allow her to connect The International Center’s expatriate clients with the local resources they need to seamlessly integrate into their homes.
Sunny Shuai, another new Relocation Specialist, currently works as a full-service broker at F.C. Tucker Company and specializes in listing, selling, relocation, and new construction services. She received her graduate degree in Office Management from Shanghai University and is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese. Shuai’s extensive experience in real estate and her passion for client service will ease the relocation process for The International Center’s clients as they relocate to Indiana.
New Relocation Specialist, Mia Townsend, has seven years of experience in the field of International Education. She currently teaches English as a Second Language and specializes in curriculum development, community building, event planning, team building, and NGO and humanitarian work. Townsend’s cross-cultural communication skills and adherence to social work and community growth will allow her to build strong, meaningful relationships with The International Center’s clients.
Tatiana Van Braeckel is the final new hire to join The International Center’s Relocation Staff. She was a property manager within the United States’ largest Real Estate Investment Trust and has experience in North America and Europe. She recently joined F.C. Tucker Company as an Independent Broker. Van Braeckel’s leadership mentality and unique skill set in in real estate investing will help her expertly serve the relocation needs of The Center’s clients.
