MEET THE 2022 GIA FINALISTS: TIFFANY HANSON
Over the past seven years, Tiffany Hanson has dedicated a significant amount of time to creating, supporting, and furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives throughout the state of Indiana. She currently serves as the Director of Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Initiatives and Strategic Engagement for Morales Group Staffing. As one of the three finalists for the 2022 Global Impression Award, Tiffany plans on leaving her global impression on the state of Indiana by continuing to raise awareness around organizations that welcome international guests and by uplifting stakeholders from global cultural backgrounds in more mainstream outlets, which will ensure the term “Hoosier hospitality” extends to new residents and visitors from all over the world.

RECENT CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
In recent years, Tiffany planned and executed a brand-new event for The Indy Pride Festival: the annual Indy Pride Career Fair. This fair was the first LGBTQ+ career fair in the state of Indiana, hosting employers including Eli Lilly and Company, FedEx, and Stanley Black & Decker. Tiffany managed news coverage of The Indy Pride Career Fair from both radio and television outlets. Overall, Tiffany was responsible for the growth of The Indy Pride Festival in 2019, adding over 25,000 attendees. She also continued to market and host The Indy Pride Career Fair in 2020, virtually, due to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
Initially, Indiana was not fully equipped to disseminate rapidly evolving messages during the public health crisis in languages spoken by the immigrant and refugee populations. In her previous position as Manager of Strategic Engagement for LUNA Languages Services, Tiffany collaborated with the Indiana State Department of Health to secure an agreement for LUNA Language Services to coordinate the translation and interpretation of public health campaign messages.
Awards
Tiffany was also a finalist in the Ally of the Year award in 2019 and the Community Member of the Year award in 2021. This year Tiffany was given the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advocate of the Year award which is apart of United Way of Central Indiana’s ELEVATE program.
