The International Center Hires New Development & Engagement Manager
(INDIANAPOLIS – May 31, 2023) – The International Center has welcomed a new member to its team. As the new Development & Engagement Manager, Samantha Gutierrez will be responsible for the strategy and execution of fund development and donor engagement activities on behalf of The Center.
Gutierrez is the former Outreach & Development Coordinator of the Johnson County Public Library. Previously, she worked at the U.S. Department of State as a Virtual Student Federal Service Intern. She has a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Arts in French and International Relations from Franklin College.
A native of Greenwood, Indiana, Gutierrez has experience serving her local community as an English as a Second Language teacher. In addition, her prior not-for-profit experiences include working with the Indianapolis-based West Foundation (a family foundation focused on funding grassroots nonprofits abroad) and volunteering with Hesperian Health Guides (an NGO that publishes accessible health guides for people around the world). She also has extensive international travel experience, as during her college years, she studied abroad in Belgium and France and worked as an English Language Assistant for the Teaching Assistant Program in France USA (TAPIF).
