With its headquarters in Varano de’ Melegari, Italy, and a significant presence in Speedway, Indiana, Dallara’s reach extends far beyond borders, embodying the spirit of innovation and excellence in motorsports.
Dallara’s Global Reach
From the winding tracks of Formula 1 to the oval circuits of IndyCar, Dallara’s race cars have graced podiums around the world, capturing hearts and imaginations with their unmatched performance and precision engineering. With a client portfolio that includes top-tier racing teams and automotive manufacturers, Dallara’s influence on the motorsports industry transcends continents, setting the standard for excellence in racing technology.
Dallara’s Role in Indiana
In the heartland of America, Dallara found a second home in Speedway, Indiana in 2012. Located just minutes away from the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Dallara’s facility in Speedway serves as a testament to the town’s storied racing heritage. Here, amidst the echoes of engines and the scent of burnt rubber, Dallara collaborates with leading motorsports teams and industry partners, driving innovation and pushing the boundaries of performance.
Andrea Toso joined Dallara in 1989 and for decades has been the Director of the Vehicle Dynamics Department. He has been the Dallara Indycar Program Manager since 1996. Currently, he is a full-time professor at MUNER (The Motor Vehicle University of Emilia-Romagna) where he teaches two Courses: “Racecar Tyres” and “Racecar Vehicle Dynamics”. Due to his long-time experience with Indycar and his current role as professor, Andrea Toso brings a group of students from Europe to visit Indianapolis, further cementing the educational and cultural ties between Dallara’s operations in Italy and the United States. These visits provide students with a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the rich motorsports culture of Indiana and to engage with professionals at Dallara’s Speedway facility. According to Professor Toso, this exchange provides students the opportunity to “learn another world and culture, understanding things can be made and done differently.”
