(Indianapolis – August 1, 2024)
The International Center has selected 24 participants for the fifth annual James T. Morris Global Leadership Series. The 2024 Morris Series cohort is comprised of global professionals from across Indiana. The participants represent diverse industries including academia, economic development, law, and more.
Named after James T. Morris who recently passed away, the Morris Series is a five-month professional development program for Indiana residents who demonstrate business or civic leadership with a global emphasis. Inspired by Jim Morris’ extensive global experience as well as The Center’s mission to support global initiatives across public, private and civic sectors, the sessions will discuss global leadership across various sectors including business, government, and humanitarian efforts. The series will begin in August and conclude in December.
The program is supported by generous funding from the Herbert Simon Family Foundation.
“As we excitedly commence our fifth cohort of the Morris Series, we are also taking this opportunity to reflect on the exceptional life and legacy of our namesake, Jim Morris,” says Martin Baier, president and CEO of The International Center. “Jim believed in investing in leaders and our civic responsibility as Hoosiers. The Morris Series provides the perfect setting to develop these Hoosiers into global citizens who have a passion for serving and promoting Indiana for the greater good.”
