THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER RECEIVES $500,000 GRANT FROM LILLY ENDOWMENT INC.

(INDIANAPOLIS – January 6, 2020) — The International Center has been awarded a $500,000 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to support The Center’s programming and general operations in 2020. The Lilly Endowment grant is given in two phases: a single installment of $300,000 followed by a challenge grant of $200,000. The challenge grant is designed to inspire other donors to support The International Center and will match qualified contributions from businesses, non-profit organizations, foundations and individuals. THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER HONORS HOOSIER LEADERS WITH INTERNATIONAL CITIZEN OF THE YEAR, GLOBAL IMPRESSION AWARDS

(INDIANAPOLIS – October 9, 2019) — The International Center presented the 2019 International Citizen of the Year (ICY) award to Michael Crowther during its annual award dinner at the Indiana Roof Ballroom on October 8, 2019. The International Center is pleased to announce the line-up of speakers for the 2019 Leadership Across Cultures professional development program.   Leadership Across Cultures puts participants at the conference table with leaders of some of Indiana’s global companies, organizations and institutions. THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER ANNOUNCES THREE 2019 GLOBAL IMPRESSION AWARD FINALISTS

INDIANAPOLIS (August 26, 2019) – The International Center is pleased to announce the three finalists for the 2019 Global Impression Award (GIA). Sherri Bucher, Andrea A. Richter-Garry, and George Srour have been selected as the top three nominees for the second annual award, chosen from a highly competitive pool of nominees. Bucher is an associate research professor of pediatrics at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Richter-Garry is the vice president for international engagement at the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. And Srour is the co-founder and chief dreamer of Building Tomorrow. THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER ANNOUNCES DATES FOR 2019 LEADERSHIP ACROSS CULTURES

(INDIANAPOLIS – July 17, 2019) – The International Center will present its Leadership Across Cultures professional development program on November 6 and 7, 2019. Leadership Across Cultures puts participants at the conference table with leaders of some of Indiana’s global companies, organizations, and institutions. The program is designed to raise cultural awareness, expand global knowledge, and identify strategies for global leadership. The International Center Welcomes Three New Staff Members

(INDIANAPOLIS – May 13, 2019) – The International Center has added three new members to its team, bringing the combined total of full- and part-time employees to 22. Leslie Erlenbaugh joins The International Center as the new International Visitors Program Manager. Skilled  in global leadership, she most recently served as an International Student Academic Advisor at Ball State University. The International Visitors Leadership Program is an exchange program that allows participants to spend several days in the Indianapolis community shadowing their professional counterparts and experiencing Hoosier culture. (INDIANAPOLIS – April 2, 2019) – The International Center has added two new staff members, bringing the roster of full-time employees in its Regions Bank Tower location in downtown Indianapolis to 14. Audrey Hughey joins The International Center as the Executive Assistant and Administrative Liaison to the Board with a wealth of knowledge in relationship management, most recently serving as Membership Director at The Columbia Club. Hughey’s interest in global understanding led her to receive an undergraduate degree in Natural Resources/Geography from Ball State University.
