An Afternoon with our Refugee Neighbors

April 16, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

An Afternoon with our Refugee Neighbors

The Walk a Mile in a Refugees Shoes is fast approaching! Prior to the event itself, however, the Coalition for Our Immigrant Neighbors (COIN) will be partnering with the Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Indianapolis to host An Afternoon With Our Refugee Neighbors.

This panel – moderated by Dr. Svitlana Ramer of The International Center and Ukrainian Society of Indiana – will provide a platform for friends and neighbors from more than five countries to share their experiences and perspectives as former refugees who have made the long and arduous journey to a new home in Indianapolis.  Over the course of two hours, attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in a robust Q&A session as we prepare our hearts, minds, and spirits for the Walk a Mile event itself.
