Franzi Rook – Team Leader, Training & Community Development, Global Ties U.S.
Franzi is an international exchange enthusiast and educator. She leads the Training & Community Development Team at Global Ties U.S., which oversees membership, community engagement, and capacity building for the Global Ties Network. Franzi leads the Global Ties U.S. efforts for the U.S. Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Prior to joining Global Ties U.S., Franzi worked extensively in higher ed, where she helped market, design, and evaluate programming to recruit, retain, and engage international students. Her work experience spans three continents and includes organizations such as the UN World Food Program, HHL – Leipzig Graduate School of Management, and American University.
Franzi holds dual masters degrees: an MA in International Training and Education from American University in Washington, DC, and an MPA [Master of Public Administration] with a focus on Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Grand Valley University in Allendale, MI. She is bilingual in German and English, a former Fulbright scholar, and will climb any mountain (literal and metaphorical) that comes her way
