FALU: An entertaining, educational, and fun journey through the rich history of the music of India.
Falu (aka Falguni Shah) and her band will reach deep into the treasure chest of Indian classical, semi-classical, and folk music and, of course, Bollywood! They will also feature songs that pay tribute to the year-long celebration of India’s 75th year of independence. These will be songs and styles familiar to many.
Along the way they will weave in stories about Falu’s journey with Indian masters, her “Gurus,” as well as the great Indian musicians and the unique instruments that are part of India’s musical heritage.
