Eat, live, and play Italian at Festa Italiana hosted by Cesare Battisti Lodge at Villa Cesare in Schererville, IN.
Festa Italiana will be held from 5 to 11 p.m. Aug 25 and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Aug. 26. A variety of Italian favorites will be available including pizza, Italian sausage, Italian beef, arancini (rice ball), meatball sandwiches and specialty desserts. A beer garden, featuring Italian beer Peroni will be open both days.
Festa Italiana will host a series of events to experience the Italian lifestyle, including a wine pairing, pizza-making contest, cannoli eating contest and more. Sounds of traditional and non-traditional Italian music will be performed throughout the fest, with headlining bands capping off the night.
The traditional Italian game of bocce ball will be featured with an all-day tournament on Saturday.
The event is hosted by Cesare Battisti Lodge #27, an Italian-American organization and a local chapter of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America. The lodge is not-for-profit and has made contributions to local charities and organizations for nearly a century.
