The public is invited to attend the Inaugural IUPUI Latino Book Fair / Feria del Libro Latino, to be held on Saturday, October 21st, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the IUPUI Campus Center, 420 University Boulevard, Indianapolis.
The Latino Book fair will bring together over fifty Latino writers, publishers, and booksellers from all regions of the United States, for a festival featuring exhibits and sale of their works, in addition to a full program of panel presentations, children’s book readings, and discussions. Visitors will be invited to view books and attend discussions of Latino works from all genres, ranging from children’s literature to poetry, short stories, drama, and novels.
This festival is organized by the IUPUI Latino Studies Program, Program in Spanish, the School of Liberal Arts, and the Indiana Delegation of the Academia Norteamericana de la lengua Española. IUPUI administrators, State Senator, Andrea Hunley, and Letitia Maki Teramoto Sakamoto & Fernando Ceja, from the Mexican Consulate, will be inaugurating this event.
Admission to the event is free. The book exhibits and program of discussions will take place on various levels of the IUPUI Campus Center. Come learn, enjoy, and participate in the Inaugural Latino Book Fair.
