We’re extremely excited to announce that the Mostra Brazilian Film Festival is back in person! There will be some real treats this year as our first live event in a long time. One of the highlights is the premier of Rubielson Medeiros’s short documentary called A Senhora Da Bicicleta [The Bicycle Lady], about Mostra founder Ariani Friedl. Get a glimpse into the life of the woman who made this all possible. It will be shown before the feature film, O Último Jogo [The Last Game], a film about two rival soccer teams in towns only 9 km apart across the border between Brazil and Argentina. A local factory shutting down will change everything, making this the last game between them.
This year, the showing is in a new location: Kan-Kan Cinema and Brasserie. Located a couple of blocks from the Circle City Industrial Complex on the near east side of Indianapolis, this location also features a restaurant inside where you’re welcome to stay for dinner with friends after the films!
