MAKI TERAMOTO JOINS THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS
(INDIANAPOLIS – September 28, 2022) – The International Center welcomes a new member to its board of directors: L. Maki Teramoto S., Head Consul at the Consulate of Mexico in Indianapolis.
Teramoto was appointed consul at the Consulate of Mexico in Indianapolis in April 2022. She has a degree in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a Master’s degree in Diplomatic Studies from the Matías Romero Institute. She has been a member of the Mexican foreign service (Servicio Exterior Mexicano) since 1999.
She has previously served as Deputy Director General in the General Directorate for North America and most recently as General Director of Consular Protection and Strategic Planning. She has also collaborated in the General Directorate for Asia-Pacific, in the Undersecretariat for North America and Europe as an advisor, and in the General Coordination of Advisors to the Secretary of Foreign Affairs.
As Head Consul of the Consulate of Mexico in Indianapolis, Teramoto provides diplomatic leadership and advocacy to support Mexican citizens in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Kentucky. This representation of Mexico’s government was first established in Indianapolis in 2002.
