The International Center Announces Three Finalists for the Global Impression Award
(Indianapolis – August 10) – The International Center has announced the three finalists for its fourth annual Global Impression Award (GIA). Finalists include Philip Smith, Crystal Neumann, and Julia Breakey. These individuals were selected from a competitive group of global leaders in Indiana and nominated by their peers.
The International Center created the Global Impression Award in 2018 with the intention to recognize the next generation of Indiana’s global leaders and celebrate their work. These individuals each contribute to creating a more global Indiana that values all cultures. Previous winners of the award were Dr. Rachel Vreeman, George Srour, and Andrea Richter-Garry.
Smith runs The Philippines Cultural Community Center, a non-profit organization that promotes the culture and heritage of the Philippine Islands.
Neumann works for the American College of Education as the Assistant Provost for Business Professions and serves as a City Councilwoman for the City of Fishers.
And Breakey is the co-owner of the Tomorrow Bookstore, where she curates global authors and books in translation.
