GOVERNOR ERIC HOLCOMB TO PRESENT INTERNTIONAL CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD TO DAN COATS AT 9/14 DINNER AND PROGRAM
(INDIANAPOLIS – August 17, 2021) – Daniel R. Coats, former Congressman and Senator from Indiana, U.S. Ambassador to Germany, and U.S. Director of National Intelligence, will receive the International Citizen of the Year (ICY) Award on September 14 at a dinner and program at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. The award, presented by The International Center since 1985, honors individuals whose work has achieved global impact and elevated Indiana on the world stage. Governor Eric Holcomb, who received the ICY Award in 2018, will make the award presentation.
The third annual Global Impression Award honoring an emerging global leader in Indiana, will also be announced and presented at the event from among three finalists: Andrew Crecelius, Nick Reich, and Andrea Richter-Garry. Emcee for the evening is Gerry Dick, president and managing editor of Grow INdiana Media Ventures and International Center board member.
Honorary Chair for the ICY event is James T. Morris, a former ICY recipient and International Center board member emeritus. Event co-chairs are former International Center board chair Julie Griffith and close Dan Coats associate William Neale.
