International Citizen of the Year

Since 1985, The International Center has honored individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Indiana and the world in the fields of business, culture, education, government, medicine, media, research, sports or community service with the International Citizen of the Year award.

For more information, contact Svitlana Ramer, vice president of development and external affairs.

Tamika Catchings, four-time Olympic gold medalist and philanthropist, was honored with the 2022 International Citizen of the Year award on October 18, 2022.

Priscila Vansetti, the vice president of crop protection strategy and planning at Corteva Agriscience and board chair of The International Center, said, “It was her athletic talent that first brought Tamika to Indiana, but it’s her actions off the court that make her our International Citizen of the Year. Tamika is dedicated to uplifting the community towards success – and she has elevated our state on the global stage in the process.”
