French Market is one of Indy’s major neighborhood festivals with, artisan booths, an array of French and American cuisine and a beer and wine garden. 5:30 p.m. Mass in French will be celebrated in the historic Meridian-Kessler church constructed in 1929. Church tours will be held at 1:30, 3:30 and 6:30 p.m.
Five chefs assist with food preparation in partnership with Second Helpings and Ivy Tech Culinary Schools. Signature food offerings include quiche, escargot, oysters, cheese and fruit, Tarte Flambé hite Alsacian pizza, Beef Bourguignon, Crawfish Etouffee, Seafood Crepes and Ratatouille. French Dip roast beef sandwiches, rotisserie chicken and BBQ ribs will also be available.
Dessert offerings include cheesecake, cream puffs, éclairs, gelato and Madeleines. A bake sale will add to the gourmet selections.
A raffle offers exciting prizes including a $1000 cash prize, two $500 cash prizes, a European style scooter, one Men’s or Women’s Electra Cruiser bicycle, an Apple watch, a hand crafted quilt, 2 Colts tickets with suite access, 4 Pacers tickets with signed sports memorabilia, and 2 Colts Tickets.
The French Market Boutique will offer berets, French Market t-shirts and souvenirs.
Artisans will have booths on the church grounds selling original artwork, handmade jewelry, apparel and religious items.
