Experience the sights, sounds and tastes of Asia without leaving Indy.
Instead of flying 18 hours to travel to Asia, Hoosiers can experience the many dimensions of Asia in their own backyard. The 12th annual Asian Fest is Sunday, June 23rd, noon to 5pm at the Indiana State Museum in downtown Indianapolis. ADMISSION IS FREE.
Each year, Asian Fest spotlights one Asian country, and this year, South Korea will take center stage. This fascinating country has risen from the ashes of the Korean War and has become a world economic powerhouse.
Festival highlights include:
• Cultural Discovery and Displays of Featured Country – KOREA
• Entertaining cultural performances from Korea, China, India, Japan, and more
• Asian cuisine from local restaurants
• Children’s activities
• Asian communities booths
• Asian American Alliance’s Youth Leadership Awards presentation
Festival-goers will receive $5 reduced event parking in the White River State Parks garage.
If you are interested in purchasing a booth, volunteering at the festival, or need more information, please contact Asian Fest Manager, Marife Callender at marifecallender@gmail.com
