The Indianapolis Chinese Community Center, Inc. (ICCCI) invites you to celebrate the 2016 Chinese New Year. In mainland China, the festival originated during the Shang Dynasty as way for the people to celebrate the end of “old year” based on the lunar calendar and the beginning of a new year. It is a time to honor household and heavenly deities as well as ancestors and bring family together for feasting.
Bring your family and join local Chinese organizations at this one-day event on Sunday, February 7th for a fun kid carnival games, stage performances and delicious food.
