Centennial Celebration of Papa Simon Kimbangu

In 2021, the Kimbanguist Church is celebrating the Centennial of Papa Simon Kimbangu’s public ministry, which started on April 6, 1921 in Nkamba. He was arrested by the Belgian colonial authorities and sent over 2,000 kilometers away in prison. He died in 1951 after 30 years in prison.

The Kimbanguist Church of the United States is planning to visit Indianapolis on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 to commemorate the day Simon Kimbangu was arrested and sentenced to death.
