Distinguished Speaker Webinar | United Arab Emirates: 50 Years Young

Ms. Shaima Gargash, Deputy Chief of Mission at the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Washington, D.C will be the distinguished speaker for November 17. Ms. Shaima will be interviewed by Pierre Atlas, PhD, who teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the Public Affairs and Criminal Justice Programs at the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IUPUI. He was previously Professor of Political Science at Marian University where he served as the Founding Director of the Richard G. Lugar Franciscan Center for Global Studies and directed its annual speaker series. He writes a monthly opinion column for the Indianapolis Business Journal, and has been a board member of Indiana Council on World Affairs since 2020. A native of Texas, Pierre grew up in California and is a US Army veteran.
