Iran in Revolt Art Exhibition

January 13 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

- Free

The Iranian artists in this exhibit are on a mission to share the devastating realities occurring in Iran. Come join us to learn more about the situation in Iran and meet some of the artists.

The 2022 Uprising or Zan, Zendegi, Azadi (Woman, Life, Freedom) Movement has resulted in death, injuries, arrests, and torture of thousands of Iranians who chose to protest the country’s Islamic Penal Code for restricting human rights.

The majority of the artwork you’ll see is labeled as “anonymous” to keep the artists safe from persecution. Many of the artists featured still live and produce their work from within Iran, where their creative expression can lead to jail time and worse. The goal of the exhibit is to give voice to the artists who could not be here.
