  • What you love about your work

As the Chief of Protocol at The International Center, my role involves fostering positive diplomatic relations and facilitating cultural exchange. What I love about my work is the opportunity to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Building bridges between individuals and communities, promoting understanding, and creating a welcoming environment for international guests are aspects of my job that I find truly fulfilling.

Every day presents new challenges and opportunities to enhance global understanding and cooperation. Being at the forefront of diplomatic and cultural interactions allows me to contribute to a more interconnected and harmonious world. Additionally, witnessing the positive impact of cultural exchange and collaboration on both a local and global scale is incredibly rewarding.

  • Best international experience

One of the most memorable and delightfully painful international experiences that I can recall was eating a kaiseki dinner for two (a multi-course meal) at a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) in a remote fishing village in Japan. I enjoy traveling solo, but I could have certainly used a companion to help consume the multitude of dishes that were placed before me.
