Conductor Jun Märkl and singers from the IU School of Music will perform the heartbreakingly beautiful Act III of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. Mayumi Miyata, Japanese player of the shō, performs traditional Gagaku, a type of Japanese classical music, as well as being a featured soloist during Japanese composer Hosokawa’s Cloud and Light.
