In my role at The International Center, I get to be a lifelong learner. With every delegation we host, I have the opportunity to learn more about the visiting leaders’ nation(s) of origin and cultures, about the group’s specific focus and the work they do in their own communities, and about the organizations and leaders in our own Indiana community working to solve similar issues and make similar changes for the better.

I had the privilege to camp in both the Atacama Desert in Chile and the Sahara Desert in Morocco. During both of these experiences, I had the opportunity to get to know people who are native to those communities, learn about their history, eat traditional dishes, and witness the most magnificent sky full of stars.
